The Holiday Honor Card competition is officially open! This is an opportunity for professional and amateur artists’ artwork to be featured on the 2025 Greensboro Urban Ministry Holiday Honor Card that will be available publicly in the fall of 2025. The winner will receive a $3,500 stipend and gain exposure to thousands in our community.
The competition is open to all artists above 16 years old that are residents of Guilford County. Artwork can be submitted beginning March 1, 2025. Greensboro Urban Ministry (GUM) encourages all artists to create an original design in color and upload an image of their drawing or painting to the GUM website, www.greensborourbanministry.org, by May 9, 2025 at 5pm. Designs submitted should be a general holiday or winter-themed scene that should appeal to anyone regardless of faith or ethnicity. The winning design and artist will be announced in late June 2025.
The Holiday Honor Card is an annual fundraiser that has been a GUM tradition for 41 years. This program has been a major funding source for programs that serve the homeless population. We would like to provide an opportunity each year for artists to share their artistic talents and continue this holiday tradition that helps so many in crisis.
