- HELP WITH RENT

Our Emergency Assistance Program was created to prevent evictions and reduce the risk of homelessness by helping households who are behind on their rent or mortgage due to a crisis. Staff and volunteers in this department meet with applicants to review their financial situation and determine if help can be provided. If approved, checks are made payable to the landlord or mortgage company.

OTHER SUPPORT
- CASE MANAGEMENT
-
For some who face the risk of homelessness or food insecurity, they have experienced several challenges in life that have caused their current crisis. Case managers work one on one with individuals or families to overcome the challenges they are facing and move towards stability. Case managers assess the needs of each individual or family and, where appropriate, they arrange for delivery and access to a range of programs and services in our community. Anyone who comes to Greensboro Urban Ministry for services can request to be seen by a case manager for additional help.
