In 1992, Leadership Greensboro Seniors (an organization then affiliated with the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce) began supporting two annual food drives, in the spring and fall, to benefit Greensboro Urban Ministry. LGS brought together local congregations and grocery stores to work together to collect food donated by shoppers for Greensboro Urban Ministry’s Food Pantry.
The drives are major food sources for the Greensboro Urban Ministry and allow the agency’s Emergency Assistance Program to distribute food to 100+ households a day.
The #FeedGSO Community Food Drives take place in spring and fall. The drives are outstanding examples of how the faith community, businesses and community members can work together to help those who are hungry.
Shop at any of these participating Grocery Stores on April 24th & 25th and drop off donations at the door for the Greensboro Urban Ministry FOOD PANTRY!
