Six Triad potters took to their wheels Friday night to support the fourth annual Clash of the Potters.
The event, co-hosted by Center for Visual Artists and Greensboro Urban Ministry, is a contest with heart: The pottery created goes to Urban Ministry’s annual Feast of Caring fundraiser in November.
Clash of the Potters, a wheel-to-wheel competition, pits potters against the clock. The potter who throws the most pots in 30 minutes wins. Friday night belonged to Molly Lithgo, with 71 pots. Together, the potters created 348 pieces for the Feast of Caring, which will be on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church.
