Program Volunteering

Sharing time and talent in one of Greensboro Urban Ministry’s many programs is the largest track for volunteering in our agency.

We get you started on the right foot to volunteer with regular orientation sessions. We offer a morning time and afternoon time each week. You can choose from Tuesdays at 10 a.m. or Thursdays at 4 p.m. at our 305 West Gate City Blvd. location.

When you get here, we’ll have you fill out the necessary paperwork, tell you about our programs and take you on a tour. While we have three sites at Greensboro Urban Ministry, all volunteers join us for orientation at our main location on West Gate City Boulevard.

Please note, participation in the orientation does not guarantee volunteer placement and for those students seeking to complete volunteer hours, this orientation will not count toward your service hours.  Greensboro Urban Ministry does not provide service hours for court mandated, attorney referred, or pre-court volunteer service.
