In its third year, Groove Jam brings the local community together to celebrate outstanding local artists while raising funds, food, and friends for Greensboro Urban Ministry. The festival will feature live music from around 1pm until 1am including performances by The Groove, Sinai Mountain Ramblers, Midnight Sun, Gooseberry Jam, the Swamp Nots, the Fairlanes, and more to be announced. Attendees are welcome to come spend the day with coolers and camping permitted. Food and craft vendors will also be onsite for those interested. The admission price of $10 is suggested to cover expenses and all who attend are asked to bring nonperishable food donations and make a monetary contribution of whatever amount they are comfortable with.
Doodad Farm is located at 4701 Land Rd just off the McConnell Road exit from I-40/85. (Turn right on Hooting Hollow Road and turn right on Land Road). For more information or volunteer opportunities call Rich Lerner (336)314-3336.
