Greensboro Urban Ministry’s 25th Annual Feast of Caring will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016.

The week before many families will celebrate the feast of Thanksgiving, we gather around a simple supper of soup and bread to remember those who are struggling in our community.

When you make a minimum $25 donation to Greensboro Urban Ministry, you help to provide food, shelter and rehousing assistance to men, women and families. Your donation allows you to choose to receive a pottery bowl, crafted by an N.C. potter, or five Honor Cards, created by N.C. artist Bill Mangum.

And … Feast of Caring Express!

New for 2016 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Feast of Caring … Feast of Caring Express! Join us for this drop-in lunchtime event between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, at First Baptist Church, 1000 W. Friendly Ave.

The simple meal of soup and bread is a reminder of those who are going without during this season of feast and plenty. Your ticket will help provide food, shelter and rehousing for the men, women and families in our community who need our help.

A $15 donation enters you into a drawing for beautiful N.C. pottery created by regional artisans — and you will also receive an exclusive, signed Friendly Santa print created by N.C.’s artist Bill Mangum.

Look Homeward, an eclectic banjo-meets-bayou quartet from Durham will be our musical guests. Listen to their music and learn more about the group.

You can purchase your ticket at the event — or, purchase tickets in advance online to save time on the day of the event — just show your emailed confirmation and you’re right in the door. Purchase tickets here.
