Events are the front door through which many folks get to know Greensboro Urban Ministry.

We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with many business, civic and congregational partners who share our belief in a stronger community. Greensboro Urban Ministry hosts several events each year: Serving Greensboro Together in May, the CROP Hunger Walk in October, and the Honor Card Luncheon in October and Feast of Caring in November.

Events create special ways to serve – hosting, volunteering, playing music, serving soup, creating beautiful honor cards. This work calls out unique gifts that come together around one central idea: helping our neighbors.

Event are a fun and easy ways to connect with Greensboro Urban Ministry.

Honor Card 2015: Thank you for a great season!

The Honor Card 2015 by N.C. artist Bill Mangum

Thank you to everyone who supported the Honor Card program last year. We’re excited to share that 2015’s campaign was the most successful ever, raising just over $260,000 to support Greensboro Urban Ministry’s work! And especially many thanks to artist and longtime GUM volunteer Bill Mangum, whose work on behalf of the homeless and hurting in our community is simply outstanding.
